If SEEMEONLINE was around in the late 80’s we all would have been better off.
Nikki is a veteran in the field of Creative Arts. Having a rich experience of 15 years, Nikki has been into modeling (catwalk and photographic), acting, singing, dancing, cabaret, etc.
Here she shares her success story and what she has already experienced in the Modeling, Acting, musical & stage areas of the Creative Arts, and is therefore, her truth. These experiences have happened to her and the purpose of sharing her experience is simple, “if I can assist the reader in sidestepping the ‘not so nice’ acting and modeling experiences, then bring it on!” She also narrates how Seemeonline is helping her grow in this industry |
- SeeMeonline: Hi Nikki. How are you?
- Nikki: Hi there. I am in a great mood.
- Putting the talent in touch with you!
- SeeMeonline: That sounds great. I have heard you are keeping busy with some good amount of work. Does that keep you in great mood?
- Nikki: Yeah. Being a part of Seemeonline is the wisest decision I have made in my career. I now get work from my own website and have recently joined Seemeonline because of what is on offer.
- SeeMeonline: Awesome. It is really nice to have you share your story with our team.
- Nikki: I owe it to you. If Seemeonline was around in the late 80’s we all would have been better off. I am not a famous person, but I have been working steadily in the Arts for over 15 years. I have done modeling (catwalk & photographic), acting, singing, dancing, cabaret & been in bands to name some of my gigs and jobs. And I know what goes on and have been ‘taken’ on occasion. Well… that is called experience? However, if this story helps you ‘young bloods’ out there, then so be it!
- SeeMeonline: That’s so true. Most of the new comers have to have some real bad experience in the duration of their career and many of them even quit when they lose the hope to make it big in this industry. Can you narrate an incident when you were “taken for a ride”?
- Nikki: One vivid experience I have had was my first Acting Portfolio and Resume with Biography. I was supposed to be at a “Good Agency” that had a reputation. Well I was, and they stung me big-time for $450.00 back then (10 years ago) just to take some photos and type up my bio that I had sent them! Get real. I was so naive and young that I just paid the money and got some OK shots. Well, months passed and I had not had one audition. Not one calls. And I was not a happy camper. Actually, the whole experience of my first year as a professional actor was rather abysmal. Poor and working in a pub, is more of the truth. But I digress. So I call my agent and ask what is going on? They had not even put me on the books. And that is how it goes. I asked for my money back……yeah right (sarcasm) and their reply was, “well, you got the photos and bio so what are you complaining about”. Indeed, what was I complaining about? Me and the other hundred or so would be Star actors. All taken for a ride and out of pocket. Needless to say I did my own bidding from then on and made a healthy living!
- SeeMeonline: How do you think Seemeonline has changed Modeling and Creative Arts Industry?
- Nikki: Well, in more ways than one. I feel Seemeonline is a revolution in the Modeling and Creative Arts Industry. It is the biggest platform to showcase one’s talent and be seen by Australia’s Creative Corporate Industry. It charges no commission and so you work for your money and no one else. The best thing about Seemeonline is that you get what you pay for!
That membership gives us all, very inexpensive, ownership of our own reputation, our own photos, and our own information. With Seemeonline, we are supplied a portfolio, business cards, marketing material (if we choose to share this great opportunity with anyone else) and more. The Creative Arts Corporates are searching the Seemeonline databank for Talent, all across Australia. They are searching for US and we are already there for them. It gets better; if the Corporate even, just looks at you (which is more than I got in my first year) you get an email from Seemeonline to say that you have been looked at. This happens at the end of each month and also your “Statistics of Hits”. This “Statistic of Hits” also shows how many times you were viewed, searched for and contacted. So you are in the communication loop, even if you don’t know it! Great Huh!!! This is just a few of the great things on this site.
- SeeMeonline: That sounds grand. Thanks Nikki for taking out time from your busy schedule and sharing your experience with us.
- Nikki: (Smiles) Pleasure is mine. For all those readers, I strongly suggest you give it a go, for one whole year, and see the service that IS provided. Your hobby may well become a career and your career may land you bigger jobs because of the Service.
- SeeMeonline: Bye Nikki. Thanks
- Nikki: Bye
